Close a register shift from any device

Cash down a register that was left open on another machine — one that's switched off or whose cashier went home — from the device in front of you.

1. Close a shift open elsewhere

Below the drawer, 'Other open shifts' lists registers with a shift still open on another machine (it only appears if you have the close-any-register permission). Click Close this shift, enter the counted cash — or leave it blank to record 'not counted', which isn't the same as zero — and confirm. It's recorded against you as the closer, but the shift keeps whoever opened it.
