Compliance
File the monthly hemp report
Compliance → Hemp report lists the month's consumable hemp sales and the 10% hemp tax collected, for your monthly ABC Board filing — and keeps each product's certificate of analysis.
Steps
- Turn on This store sells consumable hemp in Admin → Regulated products.
- Open Compliance and scroll to Hemp report.
- Pick the Month. The report shows sales, units, net hemp sales and net hemp tax, with every sale and return below.
- Click Export month (CSV) for the file to keep with your filing.
- To keep a certificate of analysis, open the hemp product in Inventory, and under Regulated product → Certificates of analysis type the invoice number, batch and lab, then click Attach PDF / photo.
Good to know
- The hemp tax is 10% of the retail price (Ala. Code §28-12-5). It prints as its own Hemp tax line on every receipt, and each hemp item's receipt line names its brand and hemp tax.
- A month with no hemp sales still has a report: it reads no sales and $0.00 hemp tax.
- Returns are taken back out, so the net figures match what you collected.
- The hemp tax is not sales tax: the Sales tax report shows it on its own line, and the accounting journal books it to Hemp Tax Payable.
- Record the purchase itself as usual (a purchase order or Receiving, with the vendor); the certificate is kept with the vendor's invoice number. Certificates are private to your store.
